Taylor's Christening

We are happy to announce that we welcomed our daughter to the Christian Faith on October 14th. We are grateful that so many people were able to come out and join us for such a special day. The ceremony was held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seaton in Keller and the reception was at the Liberty Gardens in Southlake. Taylor did amazing at the church. She did not lose it once :), and she slept through the actual Baptismal. Thank you to everyone who brought an abundance of food, there was so much we ran out of room on 4- 6 ft. tables. Also, we appreciate all the gifts and well blessings everyone gave to our precious girl on her big day. Here are a few pictures of Taylor at the ceremony and the reception.

Our Baby Has Teeth

Taylor has teeth! Her first two on the bottom at the front broke through her gums right when she was about 3 1/2 months old. Those teeth are now fully in. Now she has a couple in the back on her right side that have broken through as well. Her teeth seem to come in pairs when they grow in. Here is a picture of when her first two started to come in. I'll try to get a better picture of those since they are fully grown in now as well as a picture of the new ones coming in, in the back. It's a little more difficult now since she will bite if your hands are in her mouth :)

Taylor is 4 Months!

I apologize that it has been a while since I last updated this blog. The past couple of months have been a whirlwind around here. First off I would like to congratulate Brad on getting a job!!! He has officially gotten his first offer from the Hartwig Group in Fort Worth. We also sold our home in Lubbock a couple of weeks ago and are set to close on October 26th! They even offered asking, and are now trying to get us to sell them the furniture and decor. Needless to say things are starting to come together which makes me one happy lady! Now back to our little one :) Taylor has been doing great! We took her to the Doctor for her 4 month check up and they had a hard time giving her back to us. She loves to laugh and giggle and is very responsive with facial expressions to things people say to her. She is currently in the 85th percentile for weight and in the 99th percentile for height. She loves to roll over and scoot, but crawling is not her favorite. She prefers to arch her back and stick her but straight up in the air and scoot on her head. She loves to pretend walk while we hold her up by her underarms, but it has taken quite a toll on our backs. We love getting to put her in her bouncer from Grandpa and Grandma Howard which is one of her favorite places to be. Although I have to say I am not sure how much longer that thing will survive the wrath of Taylor Grace. She gets so excited in it to the point where you can see the whole thing bouncing off the ground.   She enjoys babbling  especially during "toon time"(Cartoon time). Her current favorites which draw her attention for almost the entire time they are on are Mickey Mouse Club House and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Taylor will sit for about 15-30 minutes babbling with her stuffed animals, sometimes even  longer when she has her talking penguin Eric from Happy Feet with her. Our sweet girl can sit for long periods of time unassisted, but still has a little trouble when she starts to reach for things. She is reaching for things very well and as Brad says she has the coordination to be an athlete. All in all she is growing into such a fun and strong willed infant and we can't wait to see what the future has in store for our little girl! Here are a few pictures of Taylor at 4 months, and a couple of videos.
This was Brad's celebration dinner for getting a job! H3 Ranch was amazing!
She is now out of the Bumbo completely and sitting on her own :)
Brad's favorite bib, thank you Uncle Bryan and Aunt Becky for sharing!

Taylor's Laugh

I know I am probably starting to sound repetitive, but I just can't help it :) Taylor is growing up so fast and just loads of fun! She is turning out to be such a little character and loves to laugh, sing, and babble! Here are a few videos of her and her daddy playing.

Taylor's First Taste of Baby Food

We just started Taylor on the Plum Organic and Ella's Kitchen baby food, and she is loving it! I called the Doctor since she seemed to be hungry quite often, but when we would feed her she would spit up half if not more of her formula. The Doctor said that it could be that she was not feeling full after her feedings, but that to much formula was not settling well with her tummy, and that we should start her on baby food once a day just to break it up a little. She is now eating about half a pouch a day for lunch. She loves the peaches and the bananas! Taylor seems to be doing much better, but still spits up just a little every once in a while. Brad likes to remind me that it is just part of being a baby, and that I am just earning my mommy badges(the spit up all over me).  Here are a few pictures of the first time we tried it. We have gotten much better since then, and have wizened up and bought a plastic wipe off bib.

Taylor @ 3 Months

Our little girl is growing like a weed! She is becoming more interactive and quite a bit of fun! She loves to spend time on her play mat from Grandpa and Grandma Howard, and when she is not on that she likes to sit in her bumbo and watch television or just hang out. Don't worry we have seen the recall on bumbos and have already called. She is such a busy little lady though, she is still sleeping through the night averaging about 8-10 hours a night. We put her down at about 11 PM and she sleeps until 9 or 10 AM. Since she sleeps through the night so well she tends to be awake most of the day. She has found a new love for anything she can get her hands on, including but not limited to my hair, toys, people's noses, jewelry, shirt collars, etc. She is very handsy and likes to always be holding onto something. Taylor has tremendous leg strength! When she kicks it hurts, and those little legs are always moving! We go back to the Doctor in September for her 4 month check up so I will have more of the statistical information then. Our sweet girl has been saying hi and yeah quite a bit, now whether it is intentional or not we aren't quite sure yet. We like to think so, but that could just be wishful thinking :) As for now we are just enjoying every minute of having our precious baby around. Here a few pictures of Taylor at 3 months.

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Howard for my play mat, I love it!
