Taylor gets her ears pierced

It truly amazes me how lucky we are to have such a brave little girl. We went Wednesday to get her ears pierced and prepared ourselves for some crying and screaming. She barely even flinched! It was quite the process marking her ears for where the holes were going to go since she wanted to see everything that was going on, but other then that everything went smoothly. I had the ladies do both ears at the same time so that I think that helped a lot. The ear piercing came with the cleaning kit and a certificate of bravery with her cute little picture on it. I have to keep the earrings they used in for 6 weeks, but after that I will be able to replace them with her first set of pearls :) I love having a little girl, can you tell?!?
We tried keeping her in her car seat at first, but that didn't work.
I was trying to distract her while they marked her ears, but she wanted to see everything the girl was doing to her.

 All done
 Already smiling!
I was trying to get her attention to take the picture and this was the look I got.

  1. Sharlene,

Was searching for my GF’s blog and came across yours. Loved your pictures of your little girl's ears pierced. This was a perfect age to do when mommmy can care for them and she'll just grow up with them thinking they are part of her. She will be totally adorable little pearls in the future. I think you were a
super smart mommy wanting it done early.

She'll thank you later for the “gift of pierced ears” as an infant! Our ped also encouraged to do it when mommy could care for them. I think babies and little girls with pierced ears are adorable. It celebrates their femininity and femaleness. Like you, I kept seeing babies and little girls with earrings and how cute they were with little gold studs in their ears poking through their hair.

Our ped gave me some suggestions for moms having their infant dd’s ears pierced as well as for “Tips for moms having their dd’s ears pierced/Care of Newly Pierced Ears.”

If any other moms thinking about it and want to do it now or would like them, write me an e-mail.

    1. I am so sorry I just not saw this. Thank you! I was worried about getting them done, but the experience was great and I am so happy I had her ears pierced so early. Just like you said she has never tugged on them and just thinks they are a part of her!
